At 9:58 on 24th September, a simple and ceremonious inauguration ceremony of new factories of Ounoya Group’s subsidiary corporation (COLIA LEATHER (CAMBODIA) CO., Ltd) was held. The President (Yuelian XU) of Ounoya Group and Vice-general Manager (Daxin JIANG) of SSEZ cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony for the new factory together.
A large amount of investigation has been conducted before the Ounoya Group decided to enter the SSEZ through renting factories in June 2012. Based on the principal’s words of Ounoya Group, the reason for choosing renting standard factories to realize their investment firstly is that they do not know too much about the investment environment and relative services in Cambodia and SSEZ. So they should make decisions more cautiously. After the formal operation, the development of company is healthy and the result is beyond the expectation. The number of workers in factories is 600 after half a year. The success of attempting enhanced the investment confidence of President XU. In order to satisfy the demands of enlarging the production scale, in January 2013, the Ounoya Group signed an agreement of renting land (more than 200 acres) and started construction immediately. Now, many basic facilities have been finished by Ounoya Group in SSEZ, such as 26000 square meters of standard factories, worker dormitory which could accommodate 1000 workers and the cafeteria which could provide 600 people to enjoy meals at the same time.
The Ounoya Group spent half a year on turning renting factories to renting lands to build factories. After one-year development, the investment scale and floor space of Ounoya Group has become the largest one compared with other enter enterprises in SSEZ. It will become a model in SSEZ and carry forward a better development of SSEZ as well.
