A: In Cambodia, the electricity is mainly generated by heavy oils. Because the Sihanouk Province is treated as another new economic center in Cambodia in following few years, the two Cambodian thermal power generation projects are allocated in Sihanouk Province, of which the power station (2*50MW) invested by a Malaysian company has been put into operation in 2013. In July 2013, the SSEZ Company transferred the electricity supply which is generated by the diesel-generator belonging to the SSEZ Company to electricity supplied by the Cambodian Electricity du Company (EDC) with a lower electricity price. Moreover, the self-built generator sets (4*1000KW) are set as reserve power supply when power failures happen.
